Saudi Arabia's Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, has announced significant new discoveries of oil and natural gas in the Eastern Region and the Empty Quarter.
- 1. Ladam Field:
The Ladam Field, an unconventional oil field in the Eastern Region, was discovered with a flow rate of 5,100 barrels per day of very light Arabian crude oil and approximately 4.9 million cubic feet of gas per day from the Ladam-2 well.
- 2. Farouk Field:
The Farouk Field, also an unconventional oil field in the Eastern Region, was found with a flow rate of 4,557 barrels per day of very light Arabian crude oil and about 3.79 million cubic feet of gas per day from the Farouk-4 well.
- 2. Farouk Field:
In the Eastern Region’s Mazaleej Field, the Ainiza B/G reservoir was discovered, producing 1,780 barrels per day of light Arabian crude oil and approximately 0.7 million cubic feet of gas per day from the Mazaleej-62 well.
- 4. Jehak Field:
The Jehak Field in the Empty Quarter was found with significant natural gas reserves, producing 5.3 million cubic feet per day from the Arab-G reservoir and 1.1 million cubic feet per day from the Arab-D reservoir in the same well.
