🔸️Ibrahim Teng, Head of the Taiwanese Mission to Saudi Arabia, emphasized that Saudi-Taiwanese relations date back to the 1970s and are characterized by a deep partnership. Taiwan has expressed its support for "Saudi Vision 2030" under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, focusing on enhancing cooperation in new technologies that add value to the economy.
🔸️Teng explained that the entry of Saudi National Bank into the Formosa Taiwanese market reflects the distinguished relations between the two countries and their mutual desire to establish a strategic partnership to build a shared future, while strengthening cultural and economic cooperation.
🔸️Teng pointed out that "Foxconn" is currently discussing cooperation projects with the Saudi government in the field of electric vehicle technologies, which is part of the industrial technological cooperation that enhances the industrial economy. He confirmed that Taiwan leads the world in high-tech industries such as semiconductors, making cooperation with Saudi Arabia in these areas vital for building a new industrial future.
🔸️Teng emphasized that Foxconn's investment in electric vehicle technologies in the Kingdom will strengthen the strategy of empowering promising sectors, such as the vehicle sector, and contribute to diversifying Saudi Arabia's economy, reducing carbon emissions, promoting sustainable development, attracting investments, and creating new job opportunities.
